Car: 1986 Trans Am
Engine: 305 Carb
Transmission: 700R4 Overdrive
cooling fan wiring harness
my 86 ta has four wires going to the fan realy, i know that the red and red/black is directly to the fan one must be a ground, and the other two are togehter going to one port on the plug. can some clear it up for me and tell me what wires control what.

Thanks for the pick you sent but i have a question. Where is the fan realy coil and the relay switch on a 86 ta carb 305 engine code H

the relay coil and relay switch are part of the relay, the coil is the part that when 12 volts is applied to it, closes the circuit of the switch
Bigwinn, if u trace the wires from your radiator fan, eventully you will find a black box that the fan wires connect to, there should be 2 or more other wires that come to it, that is the relay
