radiator question

radiator question
ok, ive got this problem here, im trying to replace my radiator with a be cool, but there is this pesky thing in my radiator right now that i cant figure out what it is. there is a wire goin to the right side of my radiator to something that is screwed into it. what is this? thanx.

That is the low coolant probe, it will illuminate a light if the coolant is lower than that point. Some models had it, others didn't.
