heater hose routing?

heater hose routing?
I finally decided to try to get my heater to work and immediatly found that the hoses to the heater core are cut and capped off right by the firewall. I know that coolant should flow through them to the heater core but where do they connect to? and which one is the return line and which one feeds the heater core? If it makes a difference the engine is a 305 tpi. Thanks alot
