does anyone make a metal A/C box (not the NON A/C box). or have plans for one?

I need to have a metal one because the plastic box i have is going to melt i have less then an 1/8 " of clearance between it and my header.

I have access to a sheet metal shop and welder.

 

you could try just making a heat sheild closest to the area then paint it like high temp black to match the box that should look ok.
