passenger fan not coming on?
sure this has been asked before, disconnected temp. sensor in front of intake, fan came on and got ck eng. lite.
would this mean that the sensor is bad?
currently grounding relay to make it work, slow to warm up!

well if ur grounding the relay and the fan is on all the time, then that means most likely the fan switch is not working.
the fan switch grounds at the certain temp just like ur doing to it now.
thats the switch on the passengers side between the 6 and 8 cyclinders. i would definitely look into that.

mdformula350: my mistake , it was the driver side i'm having problems with, i've only had the car for 2 months. previous owner had wiring running off of the hood lite wiring. one relay melt down
have replaced it. all wiring has been repaired.
the passenger fan comes on at maybe 240F or when a/c is on.
driver side may have come on once by its self.
any way to ck that sensor at the front of intake?
thanks

oh ok in that case the only thing that activates it would be the coolant temp sensor in the front of the engine.
that tells the computer what temp the engine is and when the computer see that certain temp around 227 i think and then the computer grounds out the relay just like ur doing now.
i would really look into getting a new one. not sure how to check it, but a faulty coolant temp sensor usually messes up alot of things because the computer is not reading the correct temps, maybe swing by a local Auto Zone i hear they car hook a scanner up to ur car for free and u can tell from that to see what temp the computer think ur at compared to ur temp guage in the car.

You don't happen to have access to a scanner do ya? Then you could see the temps that the computer is told it has from the sensor. Bust out your infrared thermometer and see what the temp is at the sensor...
Or you could just replace it, they run like $10-20 at any parts store.
