coolant temp switch

Engine: 305 Carb
Transmission: 700R4 Overdrive
coolant temp switch

i have a 86 trans a, 305 carburated enging my temp gauge is all was past the 220 mark new water pump,radiator. thermostat. and temp sending unit and passenger side cooling switch the fan dosnt come on uless the a/c switch is on and the temp stays around the temp i mentioned earlier fan relay is good also have i missed something

Is this while driving and does your car have the air dam installed on it. As for the fan coming on with the A/C switch, that is normal.

yes i know its normal for the fan to come on wiith the a/c on my problem is its not commimg with the gauge reading 220 and above. my thermastat housing had two seners one is a vacum and the other has wires attatched
