five blade fan motor and temp gage sensor, do they work in tandem from the relay onth

curiously enough after the nice engine rebuild and installation and cam break-in we noticed that all gages were working properly, everything was perfect until we started it again and noticed no water temp was showing up, first thing I did was check the fuse box which was good, then tested the hot wire for the temp sensor, no current, I even double checked the ground for the tester and got no current, also Im getting no current for the connector for the factory electric fan, On top of this I ran continuity on the fan motor and it sems the motor is burnt up now, I dont mind buying a new motor but Im stumped on the first part of my question, Thanks.

the inside temp guage works off the guage sendor and that should be in the drivers side head. its a one wire connection, try taking that wire and grounding it and let some one watch the inside guage.

the cooltant temp. sensor is pretty important since the computer usually works off of that, u can usually tell how thats wokring by usuing a computer scanner and see what the temps read verses ur in car guage.
