water pump

My water Pump went out the other day in my 92 RS . so I called up the guys at nappa and ordered a remanufactured pump with a lifetime waranty. After taking everything off I go to install the new pump and the top left part of the pump is hitting the belt tensioner bracket! Luckly I have an old grinder and I had to grind off about an 1/8th of an inch off the pump to get it to fit. Everything is back on the car now but I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem before?

i got a new stock one from advance autoparts and dont remember having any problems like that.

but as long as you got in it and with no leaks, sounds good for having a lifetime warranty.
