fixing rad tank leak?

The passenger side tank of my rad has a little hole through which the coolant pisses out when hot. A new rad costs me minimum of $225. Are there any cheap fixes for the plastic tank? I'd rather do a cheap fix first before replacing the rad.

GM used to sell a high temp epoxy for tank repair. You can buy just the plastic tank thru www.acdelco.com use that site for the part number then you can get it from any AC Delco retail outlet. It's a very common problem, if you are careful you can fix it yourself but your best bet is a rad shop. Usually for 50-75 bucks they will replace the tank, clean the core and guarantee it. If you do it youself the tank runs around $35 or so.
