Fan Switch

I've read a lot of threads on fan switches, and thermostats (doing a search), trying to figure out how I can get my fan to kick on at a lower temperature. I don't want to hardwire it to run all the time.

One thing I haven't found an answer for is concerning the fact that I have a v6. Do the v6 and v8 setups all use the same fan switch? Will an aftermarket such as the Jet Performance fan switch work for my v6, even though they only list 305/350 for the application?

Someone mentioned one from a grand national would fit and cycle on about 10 degrees cooler than stock?

I'm mostly trying to figure out if the v6 and v8 use the same switch.

I would think that the switch would be similar. How about the hypertech switch? Have you considered that one?

The Hypertech switch works with the 2.8L V6. It lists 2.8, 305, and 350 on the Jegs or Summit website (I can't remember which one).
