switching to electric

I currently have a 19" flex fan and it is just too damn loud.
I cant even hear my exhaust or anything.
I also heard horror stories of flex blades separating at 5500rpm.

I am really considering switching to an electric fan setup.
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a certain fan setup or if you do, it should be a really simple install?
I already have swtiched 12v power sources for the future fan but I am wondering if I do eventually get one, what temp should I switch it on at? and how effective are they?

i put a toggle on my fan and whenever it gets hot 220-230 i just kick it on and it takes it down to 180 within a couple mintues...it works great especially in the long waits in staging lanes at drag strips
