I have a leak, but don't know how to fix it...

I have a leak, but don't know how to fix it...
Just for some background information, here's a post that I started about a two weeks ago:

After much blood, sweat and work I finished replacing just about everything I was told about the coolant system: antifreeze/water mixture, upper/lower radiator hoses, water outlet, radiator cap, CTS, the EFE TVS and even the purge TVS which goes to the EVAP canister.
However, after a week of driving it I noticed that every two or three days the coolant tank would be at the "Add" mark, even though I kept topping it off with coolant over and over again.
So today I decided to find out what was causing it. Turns out there is ANOTHER busted hose (actually it is a very small tear in the side of it) that is leaking fluid. I found out by taking out the coolant, and putting in two bottles of Prestone's Super Radiator Flush and water. I ran the car for 10 minutes with the heater on high and occasionally revving the engine.
As soon as 10 minutes were up, I immediately look at the engine and notice that there is soapy-looking water, as well as steam, coming off the engine. I checked to see where it was coming from and it was a medium sized hose running from the engine (right next to the water outlet) all the way back to the firewall which had a small tear in the end of it.
I don't even know what this hose is for or where it goes. Can someone please explain what this hose is for and how I replace it? It doesn't look like it can simply be replaced with another one because it runs in the firewall.
