Temperature sending unit?

When i start my car the temp gauge pans over and goes back to its resting spot like the car is off. so i think its my temp sending unit. could someone verify this and i would really like a picture of the sending unit for a v8 camaro. thanks in advance.

It is normal for the temp gage to pan over when the car starts and then go back to "0". Does the needle start to rise as the engine warms up?

Check down by the #1 spark plug and make sure the wire is connected to the sending unit. It is not hard for them to fall off.
