reverse flow ?
reverse flow ?
i have never ran serpintene belts ,but im under the imprestion that they are reverse flow ... is this right ? if so wouldnt the fan also turn backward ? or do all stock serpintine systems use electric fans ? (this one dont have elictric fans) its not my car its a girl freinds 89 camaro 2.8 mpfi manuel 4 speed ... not stock , but im not sure what mods it my have , only thing for sure is the over heating , has air dam ,new water pump,new rad ,new thermo, freash antifreeze , .... got to do more then throw parts at it ... lol ...thanks for any help .... tao

No SBC serpentine belt pumps are NOT reverse flow, they are reverse rotation.
The LT1 engine is a true reverse flow.

Anything f-body with a serpentine belt will have an electric fan, which is independant of the water pump... You can get reverse rotation mechanical fan clutches/blades (and flex fans) if you want to run a mechanical fan... Yes, a standard fan will turn the wrong way.

ok .... thanks that awnsers my question .... funny cause i got two cars confused its a 1989 with a 350 not a v6 it was early i wasnt quite awake ... thanks agian ... tao
