Think this will solve my cooling issues?

I was having overheating problems with the stock dual fans mounted about 1.5" away from my Ron Davis 31x19 Dual 1" core radiator, so I had a full shroud made and I'd like to mount the stock fans in/on it (rather than spend 200+ for aftermarket fans....). My cooling problems were at idle/low speed only, which leads me to believe that the way I had the fans mounted caused them to not pull enough air through the radiator.

I've done a search, but only found what people *think* the stock dual fan setup is rated at (CFM), do any of you guys know what it really is?

Scott, my stock fans are about 1\4 inch behind the rad. That might be your problem.

Yeah 1.5 inchs is way to far away to not use a shroud. I have a feeling that the shroud will solve your problems.

Well, I had to scrap my custom fan shroud because I ran out of time to get the fans mounted properly. I modified an LS1 shroud and use that, seems to be working great, although I havent thouroughly tested it yet.
