fan switch

Sorry to be such a noob. But I was told the reason my fan doesnt liek to turn on 90% of the time is due to the fan switch. I bought a Jet fan switch and a new solinoid. My question is, where does the fan switch go? SOrry for being such a noob again...

Usual location for the fan switch is in the passenger side head. Look in between the #6 and #8 spark plugs.

And I'm guessing you purchased a new fan relay, not a solenoid.
