thermostat housing

I need a new housing, the one I had included 2 sensors on it. I don't have the heat riser setup anymore and my car is non ECM, so can I just put on one of them chrome housing ones? What do the sensors do? They have vacuum lines on them I've done a search and there seems to be many different names for these sensors and I just want to know if I need them or not.

1 may be the ECM's temp sensor (if not the ECM, then otherwise). The other is the thermal vacuum switch for the heat riser valve.

If you check out your local parts store, they may have stuff lke that. the one that i bought the bolt on the drivere side is longer than the one on the passenger side. i would take the old one with you just to make sure you get the right one. and the chrome ones use an o-ring to seal it all up. no use for a gasket! mine hasn't leaked yet!
