would a/c count?
would a/c count?
anyone know of a company that would make an a/c part set that would allow us to retain air conditioning in a thirdgen but move everything to inside the car under the dash?

yea, ive looked into it. its one of thoes things i really want to do, i have the knowlage and ability to do, but i dont have the money.
looking into it, the only "new" solution would be the vintage air unit... but they're pretty pricy.
the only other option im sure you're not intrested in envolves getting the AC parts from a junkyard and fabbing a fiberglass box.
the only problem i have with that solution is blower motor noise. the vintage air unit is reasonably quiet, but most OEM blower motors are too loud for underdash use.
well i have all of my stock parts....way to large to fab anything under the dash and not worth it using them. i don't want anything noticeable in the bay except for maybe some piping if necessary for the vintage style setups. does vintage air make a setup that would work with our cars though?
last time i looked they didn't, i haven't even looked into in a long time....back to the board i guess.

they have this universal one.
its reasonably compact, its MADE to go under the dash of som pretty small roadsters.
we dont have a glovebox, and theres a reasonable amount of room under there to work in.... its worth looking into.
by modding some of the dash mounting brackets (prefably making beefier ones that wont squeek) you could fit it under the dash, then duct the air to the vents...
its NOT a bolt in, its custom work.
as far as junkyard parts, not GM parts... i would be looking at new VW/BMW/compact car parts.
smaller, and highly efficent.
for that clean wall look, id make it smooth with the hoses connecting to bulkhead fittings.
