A/C Clicks On Off ? and On and Off ?

Just curious -- i dont run my a/c very often but I figured I'd blow all the dust out of the vents and run the a/c for a moment or two. When I switch the selector to A/C Max or Bi-level i can hear the compressor click on, then off a second later, another second later it clicks back on, then off. . . over and over and over.

This doenst seem right to me, and I dont think it ever did this before. Is my A/C trying to tell me something ?
TIA,
-alex
