Dual fans vs. single fan
My 88 was an original lo3 car so it had the regular single fan. I have since done some mods including a 350ci.
I haven't had AC until this summer. With a 180 thermostat and the fan running with the key (all the time) the car stays at a very consistant 182 degrees. This is on a mechanical autometer gauge also. However with the AC on temp attempts to sky rocket eventually. I expected it to get hotter but it get uncomfortable for me. It would creep up around 210ish on a 20 minute trip to work. I'm sure it would get worse.
If I was to run a dual fan setup with both fans running constantly what kind if decrease in temp could I expect? I also heard LT1 fans would work??

lt1 fans are the way to go.
find some ls1 units. same fans, better looking shroud.
only difference is the lt1 fan unbolts, the ls1 unit is built in the shroud.
the motors replace the same.

Yep, I've got LT-1's on a Be Cool radiator and I'm pretty happy with the cooling power. It'd be better still if I could get some airflow through the front of the car, instead of the bottom, but that's another story
I posted a thread a while back about doing this install, so if you decide to go that route do a search under my screen name and you should find it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
