I can hear the water backing up into the resivior after shuting off the car everytime i finish driving. its been happening often but im not sure if this is somthin normal. i have no leaks and the car runs fine. The resivior starts out from the morning low and it seems that i hear the water after the morning drive. it even does it somtimes throught the day when the car has been driven for somtime. what is this and do i have a problem? is it normal?

Its normal for it to back up into the resivior like you said but you shouldn't be able to hear it unless your engine is getting way hot. mine used to do that ( where i could hear it ) but mine was over heating. what does your temp gauge read at normal operating temperature?

Maybe the radiator cap is no longer holding pressure or(its stuck open).Allowing coolant to back out into the overflow tank.
