My 88 has dual fans and both relays are right beside the battery.

the relay should be on the drivers side under the hood, in the corner between the brake booster and the inner fender.... there should be two square gray boxes plugged into a bunch of wires. one is for the fan to turn on, and one turns the secondary fan on(if you have dual fans).... it shouldnt be too expensive and should be available in any parts store....

All 3 relays there (2 for the fans and the other for the fuel pump) are the same one...there 17 bucks and available only at a GM dealer
