a/c delete from an a/c having car

pk...this is how it goes...the guy that had my car took out the a/c and heater set up...i need the heater set back in the car because a heater is gonna be needed in this crap cold weather......a few question...:

!) is the harness going to the blower motor etc the same as a non a/c car?...if not do i need to find another non a/c car for the wiring harness or can it be adapted?
2)on my a/c delete box...there is a hole near the center of it....what is that for?
3)...there is a vac line in the harness...does that plug into the back of the hvac unit?
4) anyone wanting the block off plate the guy made?...its a damn nicely made piece

1. No, the harness from the non-a/c car is different then an a/c car's harness. You can use the A/C harness when doing an A/C delete conversion but it involves a few things. First, make sure u have a A/C blower motor with a non-A/C fan wheel (hampster wheel looking thingy). That will let you plug the A/C harness directly into the fan without re-wireing. Even with the Non-a/c fan wheel you still need to space the blower motor out from the heaterbox where it mounts. I think there is a tech article on this site that explains everything pretty clearly. Make sure you read it before doing any of this.

2. I am assuming that the hole on your heater box that you are refering to is a rectangle. If so, that is where a resistor group mounts at. You can re-use the one from an A/C car, but you have to grind out the hole a little to make it fit.

3. The only vacume line that I know of for the HVAC system goes into the heater control valve that sits above the passenger side valve cover

4. No thanks

Hope this helps.
