Removed AC, still want heat and blower to work
Hey,
I removed my AC and now there is a hole in the firewall and the blower fan is exposed on the left. It looks like a hampster wheel. I still want heat though so I know I need to seal up the area with the hole and connect it to the wheel. Is there something out there I can get from a store or junkyard or do I have to make something up myself?

If you can find the much maligned 4 cylinder 3rd gen camaros, or some of the v-6's in the boneyard, they have the A/C delete blower box (it's got no evaporator or AC stuff on it). Some guys sell them on the "for sale" board, too. Get the box, the blower and fan (the fan is deeper and the motor's vent hole is indexed differently) and the blower motor cooling hose (it goes from the ducting to the motor case) It will all bolt right on and plug in, tidy up your firewall, and your heater and defroster will work fine. It will look like it came from the factory like that.
Good luck
