Do I have a problem here?

Tempreture gage rises very high during the day but dose not go to the red after driving for a while somtimes. When driving, it gose to the middle or drop to normal operating tempreture. when stoped it will stay in the middle somtimes or start to rise again. The car has not had overheating problems in the past. At night it will stay normal the whole time. What am i experincing here. Is this normal behavior?

Pretty much yeah thats normal.GM designed these cars to take high amounts of heat.220 its NOT hot for our motors..230+ is Hot and if it goes on it will overheat and you risk blowing head gaskets etc...
