Replace pump or just get gaskets?

Today I limped my car home after finding coolant leaking everywhere. It was comming from the water pump. I removed the pump, and when I spin it I hear hardly any noise from the bearings. Theres no play what so ever either. My question is is there any way I can tell if it is indeed the pump, or just that the gaskets failed?

I wouldn't risk it. Stock pumps are cheap. I think the last one I bought was like $17.00. If you do just gaskets, inlet, outlet, and rear cover you'll spend $5 to $10 bucks plus coolant. If those aren't the problem not only do you have to remove the pump again, you already spent almost the cost of a new pump.

it could be the internal seal in the pump, leaks out the weep hole on the bottom of the pump, i would doubt it would be just a gasket. get a new pump and change it it is cheap enough to do it once and be done with it.
