What kind of Water pump do I need???
Hey I have a 91 Camaro RS, we put a 355 out of an old chevy truck(1976 or something like that) in it and i want to install a new water pump on it. Right now it has the old 305 pump on it and the original surpintine belt setup on it and it runs hot with a Be Cool radiator and perma cool fan. So my question it what kind of water pump to i need one for an old chevy engine or one for a newer style (87 and up) chevy engine. Thanks alot for your time.

Not an expert, but to my knowledge only the corvettes and some of the older vehicles before 73 used short water pumps.
For our cars if you want serpentine you'll need a long pump with CCW rotation.
Stewart makes some decent waterpumps from what I've heard I still got a Stage 2 sitting in my bedroom that I haven't installed yet.
