water pump or termostat????????????

my car over heats but if i turn the heater on it cools down?????????????

i parked my car at auto zone and leftit running with the ac on and i come out side and this nice guy shut my car off and had my hood open and the antifreeze was every where. so i waited and hour or two and filled her back up and i had no problem. the temp gage reads in the middle, thats to hot right? or could it be something else besides the water pump or termostat? my fan is ran off the belts.

but when i start my car you here a little squal when i hit the gas. but there is no leak comming from the release hole on the water pump.

could it be the fan clutch because it gets hot when im stoped or moving slow and i putit in nutral hit the gas and it goes back down to a little below 220.

Pressure test it and replace the rad cap. Then go from there.
