Fan Sensor

Where is the fan sensor on my car? I have a 91 RS, 305 TBI. The car will get to 220 and not cool down, the fan won't engage. The AC is unchared so if I leave it on the fan stays on and if it gets up to 220 in cools right down to normal.

The sensor for a TBI camaro is on the passenger side head between the last 2 cylinders. Should have a green wire and connecter going to it.

What's the stock turn-on temp for the fan? Isn't it like 225? In that case, you won't see the fan kick in until that.
Did you check your gauge if it shows correct temp? Sometimes the senders/connections/gauges go bad and what you see is not what you get.

Yea, I'm not exactly sure. My oil gauge ****ed too. I start up the car, 30. Drive it around 30. Idles regular, 30. Then out of no where it jumps around and then stays at like 4 wen idling and then back up to 30 when I go.

The factory fan switch ground out until 238* and closes at 222*

that is a helpful link.

My oil pressure gauge also sits on around 30.
