people with a/c manifold gauges
i just got some R12 a/c gauges from a guy, and i'm not sure the hoses are correct, the blue hose will screw on to the low pressure port, the red one and yellow one will not screw on to the high pressure port it seems the hose fitting is too big
my question is inside the blue hose that hooks to the low pressure port is a piece of metal to depress the pin on the port, shouldnt the red and yellow one have these also?

Yes, do you have the hose connected to the manifold set backwards? When I charged my truck I only used the low side to charge, come out a nice 45 degrees

R12 ports are not standardized like R134a.
Prior to 1976, R12 low and high ports were the same.
After that, high side ports became smaller.
The low side should hook right up on your gauges. You will need an adapter for the high side.
