over heating
i dont know if i am the only one with this problem, but i have talked to my friends and none of them have heard of this problem. i will first say that the gauges that i have is for a 305, so i dont really know the temp is, but it shouldnt matter, but a 305 was originally in it. new engine, water pump and a put in a 160 thermostat to do with the cooling, i also have a chip so my fans turn on at 160 degrees. ok this is weird, when is start going faster and hold that speed then it starts getting hotter like at 75 or 80 mph, but when i let off and either start slowing down or when i get off the interstate and come to a complete stop, it starts cooling down then. the only thing i can think of is to give my radiator a flush since its never had one and to get a new cap since its the original one too. please help if anyone has answers or suggestions or have had this problem, thanks

It sounds like the air dam might be missing. Take a look under the front bumper of your car and look right under the radiator support. You should see a large black or gray plastic "deflector". The air dam (sometimes called air deflector) just helps keep air flowing through the radiator at higher speeds.
Here's some pictures of where it should be located. This is the one on my Camaro. The Firebird air dams look a little different, but basically the same:
