Air Dam Question...

I've done a search, but didn't come up with much. I'm having some issues with overheating, so I'm been doing a lot of research on the cooling forum here...

Anyways, I've noticed a lot of people saying about the air dam, and how important it is.

Right now on the front of my car, I have a lower air dam like pictured:

However, looking under my car, I do not have a radiator air dam.

Does the lower air dam replace the radiator air dam, or should I have both?? The front part of the lower air dam resembles the radiator dam, but looks a little different. Thanks!

The lower air dam is the radiator air dam.

The items pictured are just the 2 different designs of the air dam. The 1st picture is of a Firebird air dam while the 2nd picture is of a Camaro air dam.
