a/c fuse question

the a/c system in my daily driver keeps blowing it's fuse when i turn it on. if i remove the fuse and put a jumper just for kicks the a/c runs cold and strong for as long as i let the wire stay... obviously this wire gets hot doing this. when i put the fuse back in and turn it on it pops the fuse immediately and quits working. any idea what could cause this?

Possibly a failing clutch coil. That also depends on what your daily driver might be. Some of those really high-tech imports run all the system power (blower and all) through one fuse. Must be "better" that way, since we all know how much better imports are...

If the sale of the vehicle produced profits in Flint, MI, there's a really good chance that you have a clutch or clutch wiring problem. What size fuse?

25 amp, according to the wiring diagrams it's strictly for the a/c only. chasing it the line is definately in line with the clutch. just not sure if the clutch itself could cause it to go bad or if it could be a wiring issue.
