A/C refill

Im not sure if this belongs here, but it does relate to keeping me cool. so feel free to move this if its in the wrong place.

Im too poor to pay a mechanic to charge my air conditioning. right now, the condenser, canister, and compressor are all presumably empty, since i disconnected the condenser.

So does anyone have know how i can do this on my own? when it worked about a month ago, it had R134A in it. or whatever the new stuff is.

a friend told me i should put in a can of oil/lubricant and two of freon. im not sure what this means or where to find it. would it be possible to just get like three can of the top off mix that you can get from Autozone or whatever it is Discount Auto is calling itself now?
