First of all and most important, I Have Searched!!

I have done both of these to my 92 RS 305 TBI and there is a vacuum hose that runs through the firewall to the air duct actuators behind the dash, I think. Anyways, what do can I do with the vacuum hose that went to the top of the heater control valve?

Also, were there any vacuum hoses that went to the smog pump?
And what can I do with those?

Just put a vacuum cap on it, so you won't have a vacuum leak. I chose to cut that line down a bit, just so it wouldn't move all around and contact anything hot or moving.

I don't think there were any vacuum lines running to any of the AIR system, but if there were/are, just do the same as above. Put a vacuum cap on the line and keep it away from moving and hot parts.

 

I was thinking of that, but I done a search on it and found out that some members were experiencing only defrost when the controls were set on heat.

I found a place on the intake that had a vacuum port on it. I will try that and see how it works.

Defrost is the default setting when no vacuum is available at the controls. So either there was a massive vacuum leak or the wrong vacuum line was removed.

 

Do you still have the valve? I need to buy one from someone.
