Bad thermostat?

Do I have a bad thermostat?

My oil temp heats up like it should. But my water gauge takes forever to increase while the engines idling.

Are you reading the stock oil PRESSURE gauge? If so then you want it up right away or you'll be buying a new engine. How long is "forever" to get up to temp? Probably take 5-10 minutes in my car.
