fan switch question

I bought a fan switch from summit a while back (pn jet-60600) and went to hook it up a week ago, and noticed a problem... The sensor that was there had two wires coming from it, while the new one only has one. Can i just take out the sensor it came with and put in my stock one, our would that just send the same signal as before. Or if anyone can tell me which wire to splice it to, and what the other one is for, that would be a tremendous help. Thanks in advance!

Fan switch goes in the pass cyl head between cyl 6 & 8, temp sensor goes in the intake manifold. Your old fan switch should look just like the new one.

Yes, that is where it goes. Is it too hard to get to from the top? You're going to get a mouthful of coolant if you take the switch out from underneath.

Shhhh, don't warn him .

I agree though, unless you have some crazy headers, then going from the top is the only way really.
