choke circuit
New electrical problem. Test light very dim on power wire to the electric choke on my 86 TA. My manual does not have a diagram for the carbuerated models. Any ideas on how I would get just a little power instead of the 12v needed to operate the choke? Anyone have a clue where the courtesy center is located and if there is a relay involved. I checked all the fuses and the test light is working properly.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The convenience center is located above the drivers' right shin, hidden above the hush panel. Pull the hazard flasher on, and follow the sound to find it. There are two squar-ish relays on the panel; one id for the horn, and the other is the choke relay. They are not interchangeable.
Just a thought...have you checked the wire when the engine is running?

I will check it tomorrow ,thanks for the input. I got the car started but the wire which is supposed to go to the choke heater shows 14v power unplugged but ,no test light response when hooked up to the choke, and the auto choke doesn't work but does when I run a wire frfom the battery directly to the choke coil. I guess this is why I'm a welding teacher and not a mechanic, lol. I will bug the Mechanics dept. for some input also. thanks
