temp sensor and fan switch location

Engine: 2.8 fuel injection(stock)
Transmission: stock
temp sensor and fan switch location

does anybody know where the temp sensor and fan switch is located on an 1987 firebird 2.8 V6???

Well im not sure for a 2.8L but you can check to see if its the same as my engine...

for the coolant temp sensor that sticks right into the intake manifold in the front. for the fan switch it was between the #6 and #8 cylinders, under the exhaust manifold on the passenger side.

May want to try a Haynes Manual or search around the boards some.

Right on with that manual thing. Cant tell you either bud. Sorry, but I have also tried walking in and picking up a new one and matching it to the ones that are already in the car. This may not be the best way either. Some of these parts stores seem to sell you whatever their interpretation of what you said is. Not what you need??

When you turn on the ignition without car running, your guage should show temp. With the temp gauge sensor disconnected, it should show full high. At least they used too. The other one oought to be the fan? Also not the best way but another way to try.
