Heater Control Valve - Delete?

I was thinkin today with my engine and wire harness out if getting rid of the heater control valve and just replacing it with a PVC T would affect anything. I've kind of had enough with routing vacume lines so I really don't want to have to worry about the one for the heater control valve. So if I were to do this wouldn't coolant just constantly be ran to the heater core? As long as the door for the heater core is closed it shouldn't affect the temprature inside of the car I think. I figured I'd get someone's opinion before I did this just so I don't miss anything.

i have eliminated the heater control valve on my v6 but thats just because the vacume line going to it was dead. I got some pipe from homedepot. Made a half *** valve looking thing and vuala heat. The only bad thing about coolant constantly going to the heater core is that the inside of the car gets real warm even if you have the heat off.

Teeing it would cut the amount of fluid to the heater core by opening up an alternate route (back to the engine). The control valve was either 100% to the heater core or 100% back to the engine.

I did away with mine on my 305TPI last year. Also got rid of the hoses going to the throttle body. I cut the metal hose off just before the "T" that went to the heater control valve, and replaced it with heater hose. Looks much better and cleaner.

I might try doing that then. Although now I'm back up at A&M so I can't work on the car any. Thanks for all the feed back.
