overheating w/longtubes any ideas?

overheating w/longtubes any ideas?

i just cracked my shorties so decided to try longtubes. now it's slowly overheating in slow traffic. I put in a new radiator,cap,and 160 temp. still overheats.added another fan now it just takes longer to overheats but it still does...any ideas? of what to do or to look for?

Sounds as if the header is heat soaking the temp. sender (if it's in the factory location).
