head gasket blown

I just blew a head gasket in my 88 trans am with the 5.0L 305 (F). were gonna change it ourselves, and i was just wondering if anyone else has done the same and lookin for some tips and tricks to make sure things to plan and a little smoother maybe, thanks a lot guys

Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi
It's a pretty straight forward "unbolt and bolt back on" type of job.
Remove distributor, intake, exhaust manifold... reverse to install.
Only tip I can think of is make sure you dont pinch part of the wiring harness inbetween the head and the block. I've heard of that happening

Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11
weekend probably if you can work quickly and efficiently maybe 8 hours, but it depends on how mechanically apt you are.
