Alright

i havn't had a good look yet... but i noticed some coolant on the driveway when i pulled in tonight... popped the hood... i have coolant along the side of my radiator under the hose and cap....

i have a funky feeling that its not JUST the radiator hoses... cuz the owner who had my car last (bought it 6 months ago... daily driver a month ago) left a reciept for radiator fluid under the pass. seat...... but didn't replace the hoses...

eeeehhhh... sounds fishy i know

buttt... i wont really know until i go change the hoses and see

what do u think, guy who sold it knew it was busted.... or its just hoses?

 

use a coolent pressure tester and check for the leak

 

Sounds like a bad seal at the radiator. Probably due to a cracked hose from old age. Nothing out of the ordinary there. Reciept probably then would show an owner too lazy to replace the hose.

It's in a visible enough area where you should be able to visually check for leaks while the engine is running.

that's what i figured and hoping.... but when u leave a huge stain on the driveway... you can't help but worry lol

my hoses are FINE


so... im pulling a JY rad. and having it redone at a local shop i know of for 50$
then a remanufactured water pump and thermostat while i am at it

but i'll have to park it for at least 2 weeks

im not a happy camper currently
