strange leak

i stopped to get gas and i noticed that my car was leaking antifreeze. thats not something i take lightly. i only live 1/2 mile from the gas station, so i went home. i saw bad leak antifreeze dripping. look around and i finally found it was leaking where the water pump bolts into the block. i tightened the bolts a little, they were a little loose, didnt feel quite tight enough. that fixed the leak. i thought it was strange that it had happened. water pump hasnt been off the car recently. ive never touched it in fact. i checked the weep hole in the bottom of the pump so i know the pump was fine. dont think i have any more leaks, its dry underneath now.

Was there a question?

May have just loosened from the hot-cold-hot cycle.

i just wondered why this happened all of the sudden

constant heating and cooling would do this. i have driven the car over 4,000 miles since i purchased it. i guess that's possible i just wondered what eveyone thought of it.
