any other stock radiators fit?

im afraid the stock radiator in my 84 camaro is struggling to keep up with my new motor, and i dont really feel like spending hundreds of dollars on a new aluminum onee. is there a radiator from any other car or truck that will fit?

basically it would have to have the same size inlet and outlet, and the same height, but be thicker and/or wider. anyone have any ideas?

good luck, i been looking for years and have been across a billion different makes models years and havent found anything close except s-10 ones but they arent exactly right either

a good used one after mail cost is at least half the cost of a brand new one, its really pretyt much more worth it to buy a new one locally at the parts store

o reilly auto parts has some real good deals on radiators i just bought a brand new copper brass 3 row for my 84 caprice for 95 bones

thats cheap

good luck

I'm using a three-row with GM dual electric fans and experiencing no heating problems.

I'll have to double check, but a 4 row from a 91 caprice will fit.All you have to do is if you remove your old rad. look down and you will see that the metal on both sides of the rad. (on the car) have a curve to the inside, take a hammer to them and make them flat and it will slide right in.I will double check with a friend of mine who has done it.
Good luck,
Mike

I planted an IROC rad in my 1985 Sport Coupe.

Right now it isn't cooling the way it should (or used to), but I just checked the viscous fan clutch and it needs replacing.
