Ive read!!New radiator,thermostat,cap, air dam

I have a 92 camaro rs tbi with who knows how many miles.Anyways I ve replaced thermostat twice, cap twice, radiator, just went to dual fans.Yesterday my car overheated a little and the next day when I got in my car the needle on the temp gauge was pegged. Against my better judgement I tried to make it to work at 3:30 am. I didnt get on the highway and whent down normal roads. I made to about 5 miles and began to hear a few noises.Oil pressurewas good and then the car started to die. I made it have way into a publix parking lot when it died. I pushed it into a parking spot and left it until I got off of work. When I got back I filled it up with water and gave it a try. It had good oil pressure and started right away. The next problem though is the radiator has 3 holes in it and it was gushing faster than I could pour water in. So what am I doing wrong? I also just wasted $25 on some special cooloing stuff like redline water wetter that is supposed to help cool up to 40 degrees more. Im not using water that I know of.

Did you hapen to plug the line that goes to the overflow tank. You can blow a radiator like that.
