WHERE THE F*** IS THE FAN SWITCH

86 IROC SWITCH IS NOT IN THE PASSENGER HEAD. THERE IS A PLUG INSTEAD. WHERE IS THE SWITCH IF NOT THERE? TRYING TO REPLACE WITH ONE THAT CUTS ON SOONER.

It is starting to look like your car never had a switch and the fan was controlled by the ECM. I think your best bet at this point is to get that plug out and install the switch there. I know on your other post you did'nt know what tool to use or size - I think its called a plug extractor. Maybe you could grind down the end of the 3/8 extension that was too big.

If you want, I have a 180deg switch (you said you wanted to go lower).
You can mount it ANYWHERE on the engine, it's not the thread-in type. So it's easy to install.

PM me if interested.

Mine was between sparkplug six and eight(passenger side, toward the firewall, i could follow the dip stick for the oil on mine).....the switch looks like a temp sensor sort of..it has one wire going to it. Hope that helps. I have a 5.7L
