What do I need for heat? (no vents, or heater box)

When I bought my car it came without a/c and heat. There is no vents in the dash, and there is just holes where the heater box used to be in the engine bay.

My question is what do I need to at least get heat/defrost in my car.

I have the main section of duct work for behind the dash, the wires that are on it and the actual controls.

Is all i need a heater box for the engine bay?

F-bird'88 rigged up a few electric heater's, might want to look into that solution. Saves the heater core, and slow heat up time...

Otherwise, a heater core (the mini rad basically), which you'll have to tear apart your interior to put in, then a few hoses going to your intake manifold and water pump (on a carb setup it is at least). Then that (hopefully) would be it.

Dont forget to check for the wires that run to the heater motor, and the heater motor if your heater box doesn't come with one.

This is what I used Flex-a-lite Mojave Heaters: FLX-640 - summitracing.com
It is compact and puts out a lot of heat. You can buy separately a snap on directional vent cover that also has a 2.5 in heater hose outlet for a defroster connection.
