cfi hood scoop on 1983 t/a ...hows it work?
just picked up a 1983 daytona with the 305 cfi...I am curious on how the hood scoops operates...I see that it has a few electric wires running out of system .\
what controls the opening of this scoop...is it tempature? or increase on the gas pedal? or ......??????

Transmission: 700-R4
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt 2.77
The opening of the hood flap is controlled by the ECM. When the ECM gets a signal from the Throttle Position Switch that it's in WOT then it will supply power to the solenoid to open the hood flap.
