Vacuum leak in control unit

(Not sure if this is the right category for this, move if necessary)

I got in this morning and had to use the heater for the first time this year (30degrees and flurries this morning) Anyway, there is a vacuum leak from what sounds like right behind the HVAC control unit. My question is in anyones experience are these leaks usually in the control unit or am I going to be going through vacuum line diag?
